Accessibility statement

Our commitment

BruhnBruhn Innovation AB operates digitalspace.world on behalf of the Founding Members of the Digital Space Consortium. We want the site to be usable by everyone with an interest in the work of the Consortium, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or speech input.

This statement is published voluntarily. We are not a public sector body, and we believe this site falls outside the scope of the European Accessibility Act, which applies to services such as e-commerce, banking and transport rather than to informational sites of this kind. We publish the statement anyway, because a consortium arguing for open standards should hold itself to open standards in how it presents itself.

Conformance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, and the corresponding European standard EN 301 549.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, and some parts do not, or have not yet been verified.

What we have done

The site uses semantic HTML with a single main landmark and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. Text and interface colours were chosen against the required contrast ratios. Images carry alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology. Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport, and remains readable when enlarged to 200 per cent. Motion respects the reduced motion preference. Form fields carry associated labels, and error messages identify the field in text rather than by colour alone.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and are working on them.

• Documents published for download, including the membership leaflet, are PDFs that have not been tested for accessibility and may not be fully tagged. We will provide the content of any such document in an accessible format on request.
• Some diagrams and technical illustrations carry short alternative text that does not convey every relationship shown. We will describe any diagram in full on request while we improve these.
• The site has not yet been through an independent accessibility audit, so the conformance claim rests on our own assessment.

How this was assessed

The assessment was a self assessment carried out on 28 July 2026 by BruhnBruhn Innovation AB, combining automated checking with manual keyboard and screen reader testing. It was not verified by an external body. We intend to commission an independent audit and will update this statement with the result.

Feedback about accessibility is welcome even where we are not obliged to act on it. It is the most reliable way we find out what is actually broken.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Swedish Agency for Digital Government, Myndigheten för digital förvaltning, which supervises digital accessibility in Sweden. Note that its supervisory powers extend to public sector bodies, so it may not be able to act on a complaint about this site. We would still rather hear from you directly at dsc@dacreo.io, because we can act even where no authority can require us to.
